Textured Mediums, Watercolor, Pen, and Acrylic Paint on Paper
Recommended Display: Framing (Custom)
About this piece: An experiment for my Senior Honors Research Project. I was attempting to find a way to paint on coated printing paper. The watercolor face on the right is flaking off. However, on the left 4/5ths of the painting I painted strips of different textured mediums (paper pulp, absorbent pastel ground, absorbent watercolor ground), and flat black acrylic paint. While the watercolor flaked off the glossy surface, the other four mediums bonded well and allowed watercolor to be layered on top.
